The Ottawa, Arnprior & Parry Sound Rwy is modeled in the 1920's and represents the Western Division as it was in the Grand Trunk era before the takeover by the Canadian National System. Small steam engine are the motive power of choice. The Railway serves the grain elevator and coal unloader at Depot Harbour. Passenger trains shuttle tourists into and out of Algonquin Park. The structures are a mix of kit and scratchbuilt. Trackage is code 83 and 70 flex-track using #6 turnouts. Work this year includes a new yard panel for Depot Harbour with motorized turnouts, a roundhouse, more details, loco and rolling stock upgrades. Depot Harbour is fully scenicked. Track extension to Madawaska is underway and sound is planned. This layout is backed by plenty of historical research. |
